Hello everyone!

Now we are ready for an initial post, about the game we're developing. Since the AppStore is crowded with all types of games, mostly puzzle type games, we've decided not to develop a puzzle game. Insted it will be a platformer. ...

It will be a lot like Mario Bros. It will be 2D, as non of us has any experience in game development and it's a lot easier to develop a 2D game than 3D. I think we will implement Parallax Scrolling as a nice little feature, to make the game graphics more vivid. To pass the game you'll have to turn on your brain a little, as we don't want to produce something in Kill Them All style. Sometimes it's fun to play such games but for now we're sticking to something more intelectual. Yes, we're geeks, so what?. =) And we hope that the game story will become the main pearl of the game. It will include a bit of this and a bit of that, a bit of rules and a bit of moral, a bit of love and a bit hate, a bit of relations and a bit of ... everything else. We will try to make it like a fairy tale, because it's always fun to read and play fairy tales, as we all are just a big children.

Before we will start writing here some technical articles, we would like to introduce our game world and the plot of the game. And only then, I will write some posts about programming in Objective-C for an iPhone Os, and Alexej will write about all types of graphical things. So, I think, that the next post will be a starting point in our fairy tale. Wait for it for a while, just now Alexej is writing it down.
